Over the years, we’ve been fortunate enough to have been recognised by a multitude of photography organisations dedicated to bettering the craft of wedding photographers around the world. Awesome bridal magazines and international wedding blogs have not left us out either. For that, we are always grateful to the editors. Most importantly, we are nothing without the real stars of wedding photography – each and every one of our beautiful clients.
The International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers (ISPWP) is a rarity among wedding photography organizations. Photographers cannot simply buy an ISPWP membership, they have to earn it.
Their requirements are experience, talent, and professionalism. To be accepted, a photographer must have shot at least 50 weddings, submit their portfolio for review, agree to operate under the ISPWP Code of Conduct, and have an ISPWP Sponsor or four references. And THEN they have to be voted in by current members.
On top of that, we have garnered 40 awards, including the prestigious Photographer of the Quarter, in the quarterly photography contests that has seen intense competition from amazing wedding photographers around the world.
The Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) is a professional organization composed of photojournalists and wedding photographers from around the world. What sets our members apart in the industry is their candid, documentary approach – a distinctly artistic vision toward wedding photography.
We’re proud to have been placed more than 17 times in contests that have featured some of the best wedding photographers in the world. It’s nice to be amongst good company!
The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association AG|WPJA is comprised of outstanding wedding photographers, who are at the forefront of the wedding photography industry when it comes to enhancing images. The chief objective of the AG|WPJA is to provide members with a platform where the finest enhanced, manipulated and/or artistic wedding photojournalism in the world is spotlighted and promoted for the bride and groom. In all, we’ve been awarded 11 placings since being part of AG|WPJA.
In 2011, the renowned US-based PDN Magazine contacted photographers, editors, wedding planners, teachers and bloggers and asked them to nominate photographers who, despite having only a few years of experience shooting weddings, have already demonstrated talent, promise and a distinctive style.
After evaluating dozens of portfolios (and a fair amount of debate), the staff at PDN and Jacqueline Tobin of Rangefinder selected 20 photographers to profile. They have each taken different paths, but their stories are full of information about what it takes to forge a distinctive photographic voice, gain business acumen and achieve recognition in the highly competitive field of wedding photography today.
We were absolutely stoked that KC was featured in this list, even prouder that he was the only Asian and the only wedding photographer outside of the US to be mentioned.
Chosen by the Junebug Weddings team for their quality, beauty and phenomenal creativity, these incredible images of real couples were captured at weddings, portrait shoots, day-after photo sessions, and engagement shoots by talented wedding photographers from all over the world.
