Serving The Nation

Today marks the 3rd day of my swansong in camp training. This is by far one of the toughest. Gonna be burning 2 weekends…sian. Looks like there’s gonna be minimal updates for a while…

Growing Up

I was putting my daughter to bed and looking at the stars together just now when she suddenly remarked that she wanted to remain 4 forever, cos if she were to grow up more her legs will touch the wall and she won’t be able to sleep anymore. Childhood innocence is sweet. I wish I could stay 34 forever…but…

On a side note, I sometimes get the feeling that it is getting tougher to grow up in Singapore. I mean, just the other day, PM mentioned a raise in GST (again!) so that we can become more competitive (what??) and so that we can help the poor (what again???). Forgive me, I’m dense. I am absolutely clueless how raising taxes benefit the poor and needy.

Oh well, politics…it shall not be discussed here ;) . Just some photos of the kids growing up. Clarisse will be performing at her school’s concert in a couple of hours, after which she’s officially in K1. I wish they didn’t grow up that quickly…

Being Happy

I love happy couples, and grooms that really go out of the way during the gate-crashing session to reach their bride. Congrats Wei Jin and Janice! You guys are a lovely couple. Let’s hope I can get some more gems at the dinner tonight!
