The Best Is Yet To Be

I have so much to blog about. But so little time. Over the weekend, I shot a 2-day wedding for Peter and Carolyn. It helps plenty that Peter was also from ACS, and Paul, who is Peter’s older brother, was my primary school classmate. That, in itself, already made my day. Add on Carolyn, who was so nice and unassuming with this fumbling photographer, it was a recipe for a great time! In true ACSian style, we had such a great and rowdy time (not at church, of course!) at dinner :)

So to Peter and Carolyn, if you ever read this blog…thanks so much for being yourselves, and for your kind compliments. Thanks for appreciating the hard work and sacrifice that we wedding photographers put in to document the big day. You guys are a wonderful couple to work with – from our first meeting till the wedding over the weekend, and I’m sure moving forward too!

Here are some pics, especially dedicated to Peter – the man with lots of expressions, and yes…white shoes ;)

nope…not Peter’s

errr…where did THAT come from? Peter loves Carolyn, really.

Editing gone overboard ;)

And oh, I was told I was accepted into WPN over the weekend. Go check out the webby, and see the works of amazingly talented Singapore wedding photographers. I’m still far away – but maybe now a bit more advanced a cameraman? The Best, as my alma mater’s motto says, Is Yet To Be!

  • Congrats Yuhsin! You really deserve your place in WPN!! Of course you’ve got to give credit to the beautiful brides and handsome grooms you’ve been taking pictures of (ie. Sharon and me)!! :P

  • Thanks Hsin for the wonderful pictures and perfect memories. Each shot is a moment. Through your perspective, you’ve shared how simplicity can transform to beauty. Reacquaintence is fun! And congrats on admission to WPN. More to come. Now national. Go regional, then international.

  • Seconding Paul’s comments – the pictures are truly wonderful. I love the way you capture the emotions, unlike contrived mug shots.

Greetings Yu Hsin (from the land of a thousand smiles – sort of down under away from Bangkok, in Phuket),

We have just returned from a day trip to Phang Nga Bay (or James Bond Island) – my quick dip in our lovely private infinity pool (you should bring your Missus here; Paul & Joe, you should too if you are reading) & Carolyn’s shower has helped cool off the heat and clean the “stickiness”. Carolyn happened to read her emails and here we are at your blog.

As expressed to many of my friends and family, I felt affinity with my photographer (you!!!) and ofcourse, a large part of the reason was that he was an old boy of ACS (In days of yore…….). Just to share with you – the moment I stepped into your studio, you were hired (even though we met two other photographers later). Not only were you professional, you were friendly and willing to listen – extremely important in your line of work. But most importantly is why we stepped into your studio to begin with – it was the work that you did that attracted us. So keep it up – the BEST is yet to be.

Thanks again for agreeing to shoot for us and we could not have asked for someone better to do the job – its hard to find a talented photographer with whom you have an affinity cos together, great moments can be captured. We were very comfortable being ourselves with you and hence those great moments – the photos were fantastic; we can’t wait to see the rest plus the coffee table album. Our compliments are small compared to what you will receive in future – we are certain of it. Congrats on your entry to WPN!!!

To the start of our friendship – Prost! Please keep in touch!

We shall see you soon – no choice if you want payment! Ha!

Merci (to your sacrifices and hard work)

    Warm Rgds
    Peter & Carolyn

P.S. Long shall live that pair of white shoes – for you have immortalized them in film…oops, I mean digital photography.

  • wow! all the way from land of a thousand smiles! thanks so much for that note! but then hor, why are you guys checking emails on your honeymoon?? haha…
