This week is Primary One registration week for us. In about an hour, we’ll know if there’s a need to ballot in order to get Clarisse into the school that’s next to us. It doesn’t help that it’s one of the most popular schools around given that there are not many schools nearby. As of yesterday, the school is already over-subscribed.

This registration thing will hit you sooner or later if kids are part of the plan. So if you have girls and happen to be from an all-boys school (eg moi), your primary school no longer exists, you don’t have faith that all schools are made equal etc – better start getting prepared – to move, to volunteer, or both .
