KS and Roslyn

I shot 2 weddings last week, the first of which was KS and Roslyn’s. I first got to know Roslyn many years back when I was still working for HP. Back then, she worked for a company that I used quite frequently to do small SI projects. I actually totally forgot until we met up recently to talk about shooting her wedding. Fast forward to present day – she’s now older and wiser, and getting married! I had a great time shooting KS and her wedding – simple, candid and all around fun. In fact, it’s the first really well-organised “cosplay” gatecrash I’ve seen in a long time!

As usual, enjoy the images!

I’ll bet I won’t get to see Wall-e unveiling his bride in a long, long time :)

I love this expression!

I don’t think I can get shots like this if I had to stick around to shoot the table shots…

or this…

Tommie and Joanne

Now, back to regular programming :)

I shot Tommie and Joanne’s bridals a couple of months ago – one of the images from that shoot even managed a placing in WPJA Q2′s competition. So their big day finally came yesterday. Whilst I knew it’d be a fun wedding given their characters, I wasn’t really looking forward to the highlights part because we were very pressed for time. Ernest, who was the videographer, also didn’t realise that he had so little time for the highlights until I computed the hours to him! But all’s well that ends well – both of us managed to get the highlights out on time. I had a great time with a great couple nonetheless, and I especially enjoyed the outdoor segment that we had and I thought some of the best images of the day came from there :) . I also bumped into Georgie, who happens to be Joanne’s colleague. It’s been a while since I shot her wedding – too bad I didn’t get much time to chat…another day perhaps! Here are some images that were used for highlights :)

180 Pages

It’s finally done! 180 pages of sweat, frustration, long hours and sleepless nights. Believe or not, this was our task – to produce Nan Hua’s 90th Anniversary book – when we became parent volunteers for Clarisse’s new primary school. By regulation, parent volunteer work is 40 hours. I think I must’ve spent at least 800 hours on this book – from the design and layout, to photography, and even some of the copy writing! I guess at the end, it’s worth it (kind of…) when you see the final result in print, just like when I see the albums of the couples’ that I shoot for. I don’t think I could’ve done this without the wife’s help – so she’s as much a part of this as me!
