Blurb-ed

Fedex man delivered me a present yesterday…the Tokyo book arrived. Not the same quality as the wedding books that I use (shameless plug ;) ) but it’s still good enough for a family travel album. To be honest, I was really waiting for all 78 pages of this album with bated breath – now I know what couples feel like when they are waiting for their album ;)

Neighbour

And so, the time for Sean and Sheree’s wedding day came to pass over the weekend. Sheree happens to stay near my place, and even nearer my parents at Toh Tuck. We’d joke about me doing a bit more for them, simply because we were “neighbours” :) . The truth is, I would’ve gone an extra mile for them even if we weren’t! I had a very enjoyable time documenting their wedding. I didn’t even feel tired at the end of the gruelling day!

Lots of images coming up…hang on tight :)

Yippee!

I just got home from another gruelling but absolutely satisfying wedding day shoot for Sean and Sheree. I shall blog about that when I get a chance to look through the images in the next couple of days.

There was a pleasant surprise in the mail today. I managed to pick up 2 awards at the WPJA’s Q4 competition. Amazingly, both were from Kevin and Cynthia’s (thanks guys!) wedding shot in December last year! I still maintain that it was one of my best shoots ever. Although some of the images that I had submitted and kind of had high hopes for (like one of the images from Isaac and Melissa’s wedding) didn’t get placed, I’m still thoroughly estatic – especially since I’ve *finally* managed to get a 2nd placing in the Toasting category(heh!).

That said, a competition win is just that – being at the right place at the right time and with the right judge. There are obviously tons of other very talented photographers who don’t get their images placed (or even submit them at all…). In any case, I’m going to savour this for a while. It’s been a long day!
