Erik and Hana’s Wedding Day

I don’t profess to know what it’s like being in a mixed marriage. Although I do see that quite often nowadays, I’ve always thought it takes a lot of courage to marry outside of your race. Love does indeed conquer all. This was indeed, I believe, the case with Erik and Hana. When I first met them about their wedding day photography, I gathered during our short meeting that Hana is perhaps one of the nicest people that I’ve met. I had, however,  no idea Erik was such a rocking awesome guy until the wedding day. Even if it wasn’t the most glamourous, pretty etc etc of weddings, it was still one heck of a party and to say that I was happily satisfied with my work at their wedding is probably a big understatement. As the bestman pointed out, you’d expect something special at their wedding when even a common name like Eri(c) is not spelt that way for Erik ;) To top it off, I had the company of Hsin Yeow, Bevlyn and A Little Dream :)

I ended up selecting so many images from their wedding day for facebook and the blog that I couldn’t possibly fit it into this blog entry less the page takes 2 days to load! So if you enjoy wedding day images, please please visit the facebook page as there are so many there for Erik and Hana’s wedding that I wished I could feature right here on the blog!

I really enjoyed this part when the bridesmaids surprised the couple with Nobody from Wonder Girls!

Linlay and Irene’s Wedding Day

I believe that something about Linlay and Irene’s wedding was somewhat of a first for me. You see, Linlay and Irene are both not local. Linlay hails from the beautiful Mauritius and beautiful Irene hails from Indonesia. They both uprooted themselves and found a new life together here in our sunny little island. When I arrived to shoot their simple but very meaningful wedding day, I ended up being a minority – given that most of their guests came from overseas or were not local. I had a very enjoyable outing nonetheless, and I’m really happy for this beautiful couple! Here’s a selection from the day, with more on Facebook :)

Fred and Xiangwen’s Wedding Day

I first met Xiangwen and Ivan and Khang Ling’s wedding over a year ago. I remember Xiangwen as the earliest bridesmaid and the one who delivered a heart-warming speech. So when I got the chance to catch up with XIangwen again in Paris, it was in no way awkward, given her outgoing and uber-nice nature. I finally got to shoot Fred and her wedding day here in Singapore after a very beautiful wedding that was held outside of Paris. I’ve never met Fred prior to their wedding day so I was naturally a little apprehensive. But the moment I spoke with Fred whilst Xiangwen was dolling up, I felt right at ease. He’s such a cool dude – it’s no wonder that these 2 wonderful people have decided to tie the knot. Whilst they had a simple wedding day here in Singapore, it was no less filled with joy, laughter, tears and lots of good music from Bevlyn of A Little Dream! Here are some images, with more on Facebook!
