Marcus and Yvonne’s Bridals

This very amusing and entertaining couple have everything: the 5Cs, a perfect marriage, and Yu Hsin and I as their photographers! I was fortunate to have them with me in Phuket for the pre-wedding session, while Yu Hsin was their wedding day photographer. Thanks to the shoot (and them), we got to see many parts of Phuket, which otherwise we would have overlooked. It’s really a beautiful island, and in terms of ranking it as a bridal-shoot location, it’s up there, if not surpassing another perennial favourite—Bali. //kc

Bring your own barang-barang! Heh….sometimes there’s no better place to search for props than our own home or office. Yu Hsin has a considerable collection of vintage cameras which comes in handy, while my Dahon can certainly give clients a leg-up!

Once in a while, everything just comes together magically in a wedding photo.

I was blessed indeed with good weather, a fantastic couple and some of the most amazing scenery in the world. You never get tired of it no matter how many times I’ve been back there. The equatorial sun

Singapore has witnessed several brilliant and amazing sunsets lately. I think it’s only after I became a photographer that I started to notice and appreciate sunsets and the light. Our little island may not always have the best of light, vis-a-vis other countries as near as Malaysia or as far as Provence. However, if only we look closer and pay more attention…..we’ll get lucky somehow.

Wilson and Mingfen

Wilson and Mingfen are the kind of people who will naturally put you at ease with their warmth and sincerity. I’ve known them for a bit now, having shot their bridals in Bali, and then their wedding day in Singapore. A few days ago, it was their maternity. Frankly, I felt a little guilty that I had such an easy shoot – they made me feel so comfortable and we ended chatting more than we did shooting hah! Nevertheless, I think we managed to produce some amazing stuff (self-praise ). Here’s a peek at these beautiful people who, in my mind, will make wonderful parents! //yu hsin
