Isaac and Melissa

And now on to the final of the 3 weddings :) . I had originally not intended to shoot a wedding on Hari Raya Haji. So when Isaac and Melissa first approached me, I was a little hesistant because I already had 2 engagements that weekend. When they mentioned that it would be a short wedding, I decided that it wouldn’t really hurt and they were really nice (and persistent hehe)!

When it came nearer to the wedding, the schedule starting looking longer and longer. Eventually, it meant having to pick up Melissa from her parents’ place in JB, an afternoon wedding mass, and with highlights thrown in!

I was a little daunted but Isaac and Melissa’s make-it-happen attitude won me over. They really went out of the way to make my life easier on that day – from having livestudios cover the reception to the table shots, to personally making sure that everything went according to clockwork (albeit we got a bit lost picking up the bride in JB heh) – even if it meant having to tell guests to delay their group shots so that the events could complete on time!

So here are the images for the day – a small reward to the wonderful couple with big hearts :)

A Long Weekend

Now I’m finally getting a chance to blog about the 3 weddings I shot over the long weekend, after settling down a little in Bali. It’s been raining a lot here – expectedly – but we’ve been having a lot of fun. It’s nice not to have to be stressed that it’s raining, where to shoot blah blah. Spending time with the kids away from the distractions back home has been priceless!

Anyway, back to the weddings. The first of the 3 was Ethan and Melissa’s. I had previously shot their bridals a couple of months ago. They were really great to work with and I was quite looking forward to the wedding day. Needless to say, the day didn’t disappoint, and I had a great day out with the wonderful couple. Here are the images to prove it ;)

Ethan singing his self-composed song for Mel – so sweet :)

The Taste of Nostalgia

Ok, so the title of this post has got nothing to do with the contents – sort of – it’s a private joke that Wi Kiat, Melissa and I shared when we took a break for lunch during their bridal shoot yesterday. I first got to know Wi Kiat through his brother Wi Sze whom I used to hang out with on Thursdays when photographers from Bukit Panjang used to meet for our weekly kopi sessions. As if 6-degreees of separation is not enough, Wi Kiat’s cousin was formerly my boss when I was working for HP, and both Wi Kiat and Melissa are from ACJC (in fact, Wi Kiat is a true blue ACSian from Junior right up to college) just like me.

I had a truly enjoyable time hanging out with Wi Kiat and Melissa. They are just so full of laughter and giggles, and were really easy to shoot. I’m really going to enjoy your wedding day!
